My iPod Gears (Part 2 – Accessories)

I shared what iPods I have in my previous post, now I’ll share the accessories that I bought for them 🙂

  • Macally Icesuit Protective Sleeve for iPod Video

This is by far the best protective case for the iPod Video.

It is very durable and what I love most about this accessory is that it has earphone placeholder at the back so it won’t tangle. Nice isn’t it? 🙂

This accessory comes in 2 colors: white and black.

I’m still using this. Though I’ve seen a lot of iPod Video accessories for sale, they still cannot beat Macally Icesuit protective sleeve 🙂

  • Edifier Alarm Clock & Speaker

Since I have a white iPod Video, a friend got me a white Edifier for my 5th generation iPod.

I love love love this!

It does a lot of things:
âž¡ Charger for the iPod
âž¡ Serves as an alarm clock. It has a snooze button on top.
âž¡ Speaker!!

And it does not just just fit the iPod Video but it also fits the other models like the nano, older ipod models, etc.

It does look like an alarm clock as well. And it was designed so nicely. I’ll keep this for good.

  • Belkin TuneBase FM

I use this accessory to be able to listen to music in my car.

It plugs directly into the cigarette adapter in your car.

It lets you use your ipod by searching of all FM stations and finding the least-used ones for you to broadcast your tunes on.

This accessory also charges your ipod.

You can use this in almost all of the ipod models except for iPod Touch & iPhone. I use this for my iPod Video. 🙂

  • iPod Nano Armband

This may not be the best ipod nano armband available in the market but I’m already satisfied with this one.

It is just a simple white armband where you can put your 3rd generation ipod Nano. It fits perfectly and you can still control your ipod nano even when it’s inside the accessory.

It looks nice when worn and you can still see the beautiful design of the ipod.

To wear this, you just have to wrap it around your arm and secure it with the fasteners (adjustable). So no worries if your arm is big or small hehehee.

  • Nike+iPod Sports Kit

This is the only reason why I bought the iPod Nano. I was actually pretty happy & contented with my ipod Video.

My colleagues either go to the gym or jog to be fit. I was kinda influenced to start to run. Sole reason is I’m gaining a lot of weight.

This accessory when connected to the ipod nano can do wonders.

It tracks the ff. when you run/walk:

  • Distance
  • Total Time
  • Time per KM
  • Calories burned
And best of all, when you connect your ipod Nano the data will automatically be synced into the Nike Website.

There you’ll see all your runs plus you can also compare with other runners in the whole world! 🙂

Nice isn’t it? It keeps you motivated.

  • V-Moda Vibe Earphones

This earphones has the technology of isolating noise. This is mainly the reason why I love this. Aside from that, I just know that the sounds are better when I use this over the apple stock earphones ehehhee.

According to V-moda website, this earphone has alluring alloy elegance, high-definition sound, essential sport ergonomics, noise isolating technology, leather pouch & modawrap cable manager.

That’s all I can say to this ahahaha. I’m not really into sounds, I just want good earphones 🙂

Yeah…. yeah… I have a gadget addiction… I love gadgets, I appreciate the technology… I make good use of them and I don’t take them for granted ehhehe 🙂

My iPod Gears (Part 1 – Main)

I currently have 3 iPods ehehhee…. I had the chance to completely have all the iPod models available when our office gaveaway iPod Shuffle for each of us. I decided to just give my iPod Shuffle to my “inaanak”.

I’m going to share with you the information of what iPods I have (on this post-Part 1) and also the accessories that I have with them hehehe (on my next post-Part 2).

  • iPod Video (Purchased: 2006)

This is my 1st ever iPod 🙂 I was too excited when i got this as I’ve been really wanting to have one.

I’m really amazed how useful this is for me. I can sync all my aperture albums in here and have access to all my contacts. And I can even have all the music, videos, podcasts & audiobooks that I want.

I got myself a white one since my macbook is white. And Apple is known to have their products in white.

I was pretty pretty happy with this until the new ipods (classic/nano) came out. I’m disappointed (not surprised though) that even with firmware upgrades, we won’t be able to have coverflow in this ipod model 🙁

Though I have a 3rd generation iPod Nano, I still prefer to use this to listen to music in my car. So finding an album is challenging for me. I ended up just creating playlist to I can just play it when I enter the car.

Overall, I still love this gadget and I don’t plan to upgrade to an ipod classic. I’ll keep this as long as I can 🙂

  • iPod Nano (Purchased: 2007)

You might be wondering why I got this ipod since I already have an ipod video. I have only 1 answer to that: Nike+iPod Sports Kit.

Only the iPod Nano can use the kit and yeah, the ipod video is sooo bulky. It’s just too heavy to bring when you jog.

I gained a looooooooooooot of weight 2 years ago, that’s why I decided to exercise. The best way that I have chosen is to jog. I’ve been very lazy these past few months that I stopped jogging.

I hope to start again next week. Hope so, hope so… Stress and much-needed rest are 2 reasons that can stop me in this need (need because I’m fat already huhuhuhu).

Anyway, ipod nano 3rd generation is really cool. These are the reasons:
‣ new look!
‣ can play videos!
‣ cover flow!
‣ brighter display

I still wanted to keep my ipod video because I bought a lot of accessories for it. And iPod video has bigger storage (80GB) while iPod Nano only has 8GB of space.

  • iPhone (Purchased: 2008)

I got my hands on this revolutionary device just last April 2008.
3 months before the new iPhone 3G came out on July 11, 2008.
I felt like this is still new because of the new firmware 2.0. iPhone just gets better & better!
I posted some reviews already on some applications.
I will definitely post more soon as there are hundreds of iPhone applications available either downloaded by AppStore, Cydia or Installer 🙂

My Palm PDA History

You might have noticed that I’ve been blogging a lot about Palm OS programs. You also might be wondering why I’m doing so as Palm PDA is already somewhat dead heehehe.

Well, I love my iPhone but I also still appreciate my Palm Tungsten T|X. I miss a lot of my Palm OS programs. The developers are slowly making similar applications for the iPhone. But still, Palm OS has thousands and thousands of applications. So I’m keeping both those gadgets (my iPhone & Palm T|X).

Palm Tungsten T|X will be my last Palm PDA but just to reminisce. I’ll also share my history with Palm PDAs…

  • Palm IIIc

This is my 1st ever ever PDA. I think this is my 1st gadget ever!

It was the 1st time I really took a lot of effort to understand and make good use of s0mething.

I remember that I was able to get this because my mom’s relative doesn’t want this thing anymore and wanted to throw it away. Then I asked if I can have it instead. So that was the start of my PDA journey.

  • Palm Zire 71

This was given to me as a birthday gift 6-7 years ago. It was the latest model that time. This is somewhat the “cool” Palm model. It has a camera that is clear, very bright display and hip hip hiiiippppp design 🙂

I actually loved this unit because of the camera. I think I got so addicted to it that I picture everything I see haahhaa. Unfortunately, I didn’t keep them so I can’t share it now. hehehe

I used this for less than a year though, coz a newer model came out and I liked it a looot better. Though I believe this model is still the coolest looking model ever created by Palm.

  • Palm Tungsten T|3

I have some major history/experiences with this Palm PDA Model.

This is my well-loved PDA. But unfortunately, seems like the gadget itself doesn’t like me 🙁

First, It accidentally fell into the toilet bowl. Obviously, this is out of scope of the warranty. so I have no choice, the PDA was already a necessity for me that time.

So I bought another T|3, that’s how I love this PDA. Unfortunately, after 3 months it accidentally fell again. This time it fell to the cement floor and the screen cracked. Obviously again this is out of scope for the warranty 🙁

I didn’t want to push it anymore. So I bought the newer model Palm Tungsten T|X. I’m still using it till now.

I still believe that the Palm Tungsten T|3 is the best model Palm created ever. Though they have released a lot of newer models, nothing beats this model.

  • Palm Tungsten T|X

This is the most high-tech PDA Palm has created.

It has both bluetooth and Wi-Fi. And it’s going to be very useful as there are thousands of applications available out there for this gadget.

I bought this just because my Palm Tungsten T|3 quit on me. So instead of buying another T|3, I just bought the latest model which is T|X at that time.

I never thought that this will be the last PDA model of Palm.

I still bring my Palm T|X every single day. I use it mainly for productivity purposes. 🙂

Palm: Crazy Daisy

This game is addicting.

In order to score, you match petals. When you match more petals, you gain bigger points.

To play, you tap the daisies to rotate and match petals between daisies.

There are 3 modes of this game.

  • Arcade Mode – This is where you compete against the clock to match petals before the time runs out. When you match petals, you’ll gain more time.
  • Endless Mode – this mode doesn’t have a timer or scorer. If you just want to relax and play without any challenge, this mode is for you.
  • Puzzle Mode – This is where you really plan your moves as the more petals you match, you’ll be able to go the next levels.

It has very good sounds and cute insect sound effects.

This game is created by Astraware and will be bought here for $9.95

Palm: Bejeweled 2

Bejeweled is a color-matching game. In order to play, you swap adjacent games to make sets of 3 or more. If you clear more than 1 set, you’ll get extra points.

If you swap 4 gems, you’ll get a power gem. While 5 gems will create a hyper cube.

This game has 4 modes: Classic, Endless, Puzzle & Action. It has 5 extra bonus modes which needs to be unlocked as you progress through the 4 game modes.

It has beautiful graphics and awesome sounds. And obviously, this game is really popular as it’s also available as a desktop game.

This game is created by Astraware and available here for $14.95.
