Roch’s Games Wishlist

I’m a gamer too but not a good one! hahaha!

I used to play a lot of World of Warcraft but stopped a few months ago due to time constraints.

There are lots more games that I used to play: counterstrike, sims, c&c generals, etc.

Playing games is also one source of stress reliever, enjoyment, something you want to do if you want to relax and forget about stressful stuff.

Here are my Gaming wishlist:

  • Playstation 3 Rock Band 2 Special Edition
00062753-406609_400
How can you play PS3 without Rockband? It’s such a craze right now. All internet cafe in the country have this to offer. Even our office has one! 🙂

  • PSP Go – Black
psp-go-1
This will come out on October. I do feel it’s sooo cool! I would want to have this! A small gaming machine you can bring wherever you go! It’s a bit pricey though, I think it will retail at $250.
  • Warcraft III Battle Chest
5197N5X6RCL._SS400_

After I stopped playing WoW, I learned about DOTA. My officemates and some friends are playing this that I ended up wanting to learn how to play this right so I can finally join them in this game.

I’m still not good at it so I wanted to have a copy of Warcraft III so I can practice on my own. Once I know enough, I’ll join the group games. 🙂

Another Car-Related Misfortune

IMG_7347

See that tire? That’s mine :'(
I was driving along Edsa last night when I suddenly heard weird sounds. I ignored it at first and thought that it was just noisy outside and besides my car is an old one. So I thought it was normal.
After awhile, the sound was really getting louder & louder. I already had this gut feeling that I was running flat. Unfortunately though, There was no gas station around.

So I have to drive till I reach a gas station located at Aurota Boulevard. I asked if anyone of them can help me change my tire. One of them did 🙂 I gave the guy Php 100 as an incentive, if not for him, I don’t even know how I will go home with that kind of tire damage.
Now I have a new dilemma. Another suprise expense for me, it seems like I’m spending so much on my car now. The other year I spent 60k on repairs, last year about 20k and this year, I’m just scared, don’t want to even think about it.
Looking at the positive side, I’m safe!!! Imagine driving with that kind of tire? I can easily enter into car accidents but I was safe! Thank God! 🙂
Change all 4 tires, buy 1 more extension tire. And the budget? I’m so dead. :'(

Digital Perm at Tony & Jackey

IMG_7330
I just had my haircut last month at Toni & Guy, but here I am again getting another make-over 😛
This time I wanted my hair permed. I guess I really followed what my stylist told me. That the haircut that he has done for me is best suited if it’s permed. So there..

I went to Tony & Jackey coz I know they are the best when it comes to digital perm. They have a promo now. For only Php 3,000, you’ll get the ff.:
  • Digital Perm, any length (Korean Medicine)
  • Hair Manicure
  • Hair Treatment
  • Haircut
Cheap right?
Top (a Korean Stylist) was the only one available at around 6:30PM. So I opted for him to be my stylist 😛 He was a bit hesitant to do my curls. He said my hair is just too thin and it might not hold the curls.
He was asking me to use the herbal medicine instead which will cost me Php 8,000!! I said no! my budget for the curls is only Php 3,000. So I’m okay with the normal Korean medicine. I don’t know why but he really insisted. So as a compromise, he let me use L’oreal but I won’t be getting the hair manicure (w/c is perfectly fine for me).
I think Tony & Jackey was the first salon to offer the digital perm services. They use this machine for their perm.

The overall process took around 3 hours. It was all worth it.
This is me with Top.

He also permed my bangs but I’m worried that it might be gone after a short while, I hope not. 🙂

Usapang OFW DZMM & Blas Ople Center Leader’s Forum

3823113945_82cfc7a77f
I attended this yesterday afternoon. It was televised via DZMM TV and hosted by Henry Omaga Diaz & Susan “Toots” Ople.
I was lucky to have the chance to see this live at the ABS-CBN Studio 4.
This is basically a forum organized to tackle about the issues being faced by the OFWs. What the presidentiables plan to do if they become president.
The presidentiables who attended were:
  • Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero
  • Senator Loren Legarda
  • Senator Mar Roxas
  • Senator Jamby Madrigal
A lot of OFWs attended the forum including the 137 bus drivers stranded in Dubai (check my post regarding that).
There were too many things discussed, but here are some points that I remember:
  • To have an OFW bank to keep all the money that OFWs remit. This money will be solely owned by the OFWs.
  • OFW bank will in turn be used for OFW investments (businesses they can put up, etc)
  • OFWs can make use of dual citizenship so they can also benefit from both country’s laws.
  • OFW funds should be used for the OFW families and not for the government.
  • Scholarship fund for the children of the OFWs.
  • Retired OFWs will have better life in the Philippines
  • Government to Government basis for the OFWs will be done via negotiations
At the end of the show, there was a survey done by ABS-CBN via text votes. They asked if the people believe that after the leadership forum, there will be good times coming for the OFW (basically if they believe what the presidentiables are saying about their plans). 45% answered yes and 55% said no. That means a lot of work will need to be done by the government for the Filipino people to start believing in them.
After the show, I asked each of the presidentiable if I can take picture with him/her. Based on that brief interaction, I like Chiz Escudero & Jamby Madrigal the best 🙂 It shows in the pictures.

I Shop, I Splurge, I Surrender!

I didn’t plan to spend so much for shopping yesterday but I ended up spending a lot! 😛

It was all worth it though coz the items that I bought were all on sale. All of those items are really nice and so I conclude that they are value for money.
To be completely honest, I used to dislike shopping. It’s really not my thing. I’d rather spend time in a supermarket, bookstore or hardware than walk around shopping for clothes. If there’s something that I like to shop around, then that is to look for new gadgets to drool on.
I don’t know what changed, maybe because I’m older now? hahaha! I guess I became a lil conscious on how I look now compared to before. But nevertheless, shopping isn’t that bad.

Last night, I bought items from 4 shops:
  • So! Fab (Php 499)
See my post here. Definitely value for money. 2 Yellow pairs for only Php499.
  • Banana Peel (Php 180)
IMG_7198
I was really planning to buy slippers as I walk everyday. I usually park at A. Venue during workdays and it is really far from our office. I have to park there as I need to save some money. It costs us Php130 a day if we park at our office building and only Php40 a day if we park at A. Venue Open Parking Lot.
Since I always wear high heels, it’s really not sustainable. So I have to bring my shoes to the office together with my laptop, bag, lunchpack, etc. I will need to find comfortable slippers to walk almost 5 blocks every weekday.
Hopefully this is a good buy. Let’s see when I use it on Monday 🙂
  • Tango (Php 499)
I like Tango’s clothes but I just felt it’s too expensive for me. Though whenever I see the shop on sale, I make sure that I check it out.
Last night, it was on sale! So Hai and I entered, I saw this checkered dress for only Php 499! It was originally priced at Php 995.
IMG_7199
It’s a bit sexy though, I will need to find a tube or something to go with it.
  • Cosmopolitan Clothing (Php 1,100)
The last time I splurged was when I first discovered Cosmopolitan Clothing at the Ramp.
Their designs just suits me, I felt like all the clothes there were meant to be made for me.
When we dropped by there last night, I just couldn’t resist but buy several clothes there.
Here are what I bought:
Black/Fuscha Dress (Php 499) – According to Hai, it looks weird. Nevertheless, I still feel it looks good, I especially liked how the upper part of the dress was made.
IMG_7202
Checkered Blouse (Php 299) – SUPER value for money! It just look soooooo good when I tried it out. There was no hesitation when I decided to get it.
IMG_7201
Green/Black Dress (Php 299) – I didn’t like this so much but Php 299 is just too cheap so I decided to get it.
IMG_7200
The last time I bought clothes from Cosmopolitan, I think I spent about Php3.5k. The owner was there so when I bought some clothes yesterday, she gave me this necklace for free.
IMG_7203
I felt like that I’m already on the road to being a shopaholic. I hope not coz I surrender! :P:P:P
