Philippine Independent Films is fast becoming popular worldwide. This is proven by the awards the Philippines has been getting from respected award-giving bodies. These films boldly embodies the Filipino experience with excellent artistry & insight.
With this in mind, I suggest that you go see the Indie Sine at Robinson’s Galleria on November 24 (November 21) for Metropolis, a series of independent film screenings.
The event is presented by Anahata Foundation for the benefit of its community-based projects involved in movement, performance, fashion, media, visual arts & concern for the environment.
Metropolis will feature the ff. 3 Philippine Indie Films:

- 24K (2009) | 5:00PM (6:30PM)
The secret world of post war treasure hunting. Directed by Ana Agabin.

I hope you do catch the film screening as this is for a good cause. Plus you would be able to watch quality films made by Filipinos. The filmmakers will also drop by to introduce their film & share their insights about the industry.
The Brockas will perform live after the film screenings at 8:20PM.
I’ll be there to watch all 3 movies. Will I see you there on November 21? I sure hope so! See you! 🙂
** The organizers moved the date to November 24, 2009. With this change, I will not attend anymore due to schedule conflicts.

寶è—å·– Treasure Hill

寶è—å·– Treasure Hill
Lane 230, Sec. 3, Dingzhou Rd., Taipei

——————–
Beside Taipei Water Park is the 寶è—å·– Treasure Hill. I really wished we entered because I missed a whole lot! Apparently, Treasure Hill was once a village full of unauthorized houses. It then formally became a village featuring buildings as if it was in history.

I was only able to take pictures of the entrance. Hayyy, I really feel bad. If we only knew, we could have entered and seen at least a reflection of Taiwan history.

I really thought that it was just a place for bicycle riders as it has bicycle signs all over the entrance (even on the floor!). I missed big time one of the must-see destinations in Taiwan. :'(

Taipei Water Park

No. 1, Siyuan Street, Taipei Taiwan

After lunch, we were walking around the area when we noticed the “Taipei Water Park”.
However, when we entered, it seemed like it was abandoned or closed. The pool had no water. There were no attendants by the ticket booth. There were no people inside.
It seemed like a great place so we took pictures anyway, even without the flowing water around the park.
As I researched, Taipei Water Park was built to educate people about the history of Taiwan with regard to main water development. I saw in their official website that we seemed to have dropped by Gongguan Tourist Service Center of the Park.
Even without the water, the pictures still look superb!

Globe Tattoo Broadband Seems Interesting
Posted by Rochelle Sy Chua On November 1, 2009
Sometime ago, I posted about an event I attended regarding Globe Tattoo. It was about a SIM card that is good for calls, text & internet.
I got curious when I stumbled upon Kevin’s post about Globe Broadband Tattoo.

Globe Broadband Tattoo is service provided by Globe Telecom. It enables us to connect to the internet wherever and whenever we are.
Kevin recommended it based on experience that Globe Tattoo Broadband is fast & reliable. I also found out that there are 2 ways Globe can charge us for internet browsing:
- Time-based charging (Php 5.00/15minutes)
- kb-based charging (Php 0.15/kb)
If I do decide to get this, I will definitely choose option 1 wherein we’re charged for the time we used. I just don’t want to worry about how much data I have accessed or compute for it. Anyhow, Globe Tattoo SIM by default is time-based. If you want to know your browsing option, you just text STATUS to 1111. To switch to kb-based, text KB to 1111.
A Globe Broadband Tattoo Kit contains:
- Globe Broadband Tattoo Modem
- Globe SIM Card
- Free hours of Internet usage: Prepaid (free 5 internet hours), Postpaid (# of hours dependent on the plan)
There is also a “cool” factor for this product. The Tattoo USB modem comes with a variety of design. You can choose which skin you want. You can choose one that fits your personality & lifestyle. Pretty cool as a lot of us love individuality. See the Globe Tattoo Broadband new skins here.

For those creative ones, you can design your own Globe Broadband Tattoo Modem skin! You can go read the mechanics in the Globe Broadband Tattoo Gallery. All have you to do is click the inquire button and you could have the chance to win Php5,000 plus your work on an actual Globe Tattoo modem! How cool is that?
So what do you guys think? Should I get one?
