A few months ago, I wrote about the book written by my friend, Stanley Chi.  His book, Suplado Tips became so successful that thousands of copies has been sold in less than 3 months.  It’s just wow!  Congratulations Stanley!

I guess a lot of people agree that Suplado is the new SEXY.  So being tall, dark and handsome isn’t the only way to attract people huh?  Aha!  I have to watch out as lots of guys are getting more suplado now that Stanley’s book are getting more popular!

I buy at least one pair of optical eyewear each year.  Why?  Somehow, I want to have my own eyewear collection as I tend to be very conscious of my fashion sense hahaha!  I want my eyewear to look great with my outfit for the day.

In relation to this, I got really excited when I received an email informing me of this new eyewear collection from GUESS.  I was really in awe when I browsed through the photos of GUESS Eyewear Optical and Sun Collection.  I wanted to have each and every one of those but I know my budget is limited 😛

The GUESS Eyewear collection offers styles that reflect today’s top fashion trends.  There are three distinct design trends in GUESS new eyewear collection.  These are:

• Vintage Dream

Vintage Dream is inspired by romantic moods.  What more can you show romance by having crystal hues, soft jewel tones and delicate feminine prints.  It definitely has a vintage feel to each and every eyewear in this collection.

On a personal note, this is definitely a fave!

I wanted for myself the GU7056 model.  Its combination of metal & plastic blend so well that it created a very unique look.  I never wanted something common and that particular eyewear really caught my attention.

GUESS has also something in store for men.  The above image which has GU1692 and GU1691 as model numbers have an edgy masculine appeal.  The black one does look really nice.  The acetate frames were actually handmade!

• Royal Underground

Royal Underground is all about living on the edge.  The eyewear in this collection has metals and chains mixed with splatter & grunge effects.  Wow!  Wearing the glasses definitely symbolizes the person is living on the edge.

Guys that will wear this will get his much needed attention as it makes a strong statement.  The glasses have this distinct “Shield” logo and it sets the mood for the style.

I also personally love this set of eyewear.  I bet wearing one of them will give a sexy, glamorous look.  The two-tone coloring adds excitement and dimension to the enamel-filled GUESS “Elite Script” logo.

I had a similar front-shape style sunglass but this particular design by GUESS does look much better.  The metal chain details mixed with the frame created a nice street chic appeal.

• Creative Journey

Inspired by art decorations, Creative Journey provides richly textured wovens & decorative fabrics.  It has lots of colors, prints & leathers.  Some eyewear also has lace, patchwork and skins.  For those creative people out there, this collection might be a perfect fit for you 🙂

Very stylish eyewear for the sporty men.  I particularly like the metal cut logo, so unique!

Designed to by worn any time of the day.  The glasses give a fun appeal with the metal lock and key charms style on the frame.  Cute!

So you’re the type of girl who loves animal skins then this design is for you.  Unique snake skin patterns pressed into the metal temples create a unique and very bold look.

I really like this new collection by GUESS.  I hope I could get hold of the Vintage Dream sunglasses that I wanted.  Let’s see.

Sorry for the late broadcast but I also found out just now about the promo.  Fret not, we still have 2 days to go there and buy our very own GUESS eyewear.

Some of you may know that I’m currently going through tough times.  As we all say, girls like to do a hair makeover whenever they want change in their lives.  Following that popular tradition, I decided to have my hair permed.

If you have been following HeaRty’s Haven for quite some time then you would know that my choice of salon will always be Tony & Jackey Salon.  This wasn’t my first time to avail of digiperm at Tony & Jackey Salon.  My hair was a bit shorter now since I got my haircut a lil over a year ago.  I’m sure this time, the effect would be different.

As I entered the salon, I noticed that they changed their brand from Tony & Jackey Salon to Tony & Jackey Bangs.  I wonder why but I guess, they really just need this change.  You can now see some black colors in the area.  I must admit I like their old logo better.

I was delighted to find out that they have an ongoing promo till March 31, 2011 wherein we can get digiperm for only Php1,500!  That was what I got.  I didn’t care much that they used Korean medicine or it didnt have treatment & haircut.  I just want my hair permed and I didn’t wanna spend too much.  To my surprise, they made me sign a waiver saying that using Korean medicine will make my hair dry & fizzy plus curls will not stay for a very long time.  It didn’t scare me though, I continued with it.

As usual, the process was basically the same.  Wash hair first then they asked if I wanted to have a haircut to suit the perm (additional Php500).  I agreed.  Much better to have it layered so curls would look better.

Applying Korean medicine to my hair was next.  After, my hair was put in a dryer for several minutes.  Next part was the most exciting one, putting my hair to the perming machine.  Yes, it was definitely a scary scene.  Do you remember the Filipino movie Zuma?  I kinda looked like one with all those springs all over my head hahaha!

The whole process took about 4 hours.  It was definitely long but it was worth it.  I love my new look!  It signifies a lot too.  It gave me encouragement to start over.  Felt like I have a renewed life.  To top things off, I did it during Chinese New Year!

I have a new discovery.  Shoemart has made beautifully designed eco bags!
