A friend recommended this place 4 years back and it stuck in my mind that their barbeque are really delicious.

Colasa’s BBQ is originated from Davao. When you asked the people there, they’ll surely know what this place is.

The ambiance is okay but I just felt a little uncomfortable seeing street children going in and out of the restaurant. Like what happened last time, some kids approached our table WHILE we were eating and asked us to give them our leftover. They didn’t even know if we’re going to finish our food or not. I felt that it’s ok if they asked us when we’re leaving the restaurant but while eating? and the staff also tolerates this. So even if I want to return and eat their isaw, I don’t think I’ll go back considering what we experienced last time.

But in all fairness, service is good and the food is good as well. I just don’t want to be disturbed like that while having a good meal.

Here are what we ordered:

  • Petcho Broiler (Php85)
Their famous chicken, I tried this before ad I like it. My friend ordered this and finished it so I guess it tasted good
  • Pork Isaw (Php25)
I just CAN’T get enough of this!! It’s uberly overly to the max delicious. I can eat like 4-5 sticks in one sitting. I think I’ll just order this for take out… oh now I’m kinda craving for it….

  • Bulalo (Php230)
IMG_1849

I ordered this thinking that we could get “utak”. But to my dismay, we didn’t get it… only a big big big bone without any “utak” in it. arrggghhh. So it was just a normal bulalo for me, nothing special… urgggh.

Jo and I planned our bonding session that night. Since Jo rarely goes to Quezon City, she wanted to try out a restaurant that can only be found on Quezon City. I suggested Grilled Tomato.. so here we are..

We ordered the ff.:

  • Keema Gryo (Php65)
IMG_2079

Jo told me that there’s nothing extraordinary about this but it tasted good. Just not something that you will remember and crave for. I’m more of a rice person so I don’t really eat shawarma much.

  • 2 pieces Beef Kebab Meal (Php100)
IMG_2081

This is a combination of 2 beef kebabs, tomato & their curry rice. Usually persian restaurants serve their rice with butter but this restaurant is different. Nice way to make themselves unique. The food also tasted normal but I like it.

  • Cold Milk Team (Php 50)
IMG_2087

this one I really love. I don’t know what kind of tea or milk they use but I really love it! I recommend this for milk tea lovers.

  • Rose Syrup Iced Yoghurt (Php65)
IMG_2077

This is another signature drink from Grilled Tomato. Jo loved this drink a lot! I tried a lil of it and I felt that it tasted good, I’m just not a yoghurt person. But based on my friend’s reaction, it’s definitely a must to order when you dine there.

I like this place, I feel that if I crave for Persian food and I’m a lil lazy to drive far. I’ll definitely go to Grilled Tomato and order their beef kebab meal again

for yoghurt lovers, their iced yoghurt is something to look forward to.

One of our jogging mates was craving for buffet… so we went to this place for breakfast after our weekly jog.

I was really hungry and plans to eat a LOT hahaha but I ended up just eating 1 serving… I guess the time is also not enough coz we only stayed for an hour. I usually eat slow but I eat a lot… but since we go together, I can’t stay alone and eat again right? hahaha so embarassing if that happens hehehe.

The buffet (Php 170) includes the ff.:

IMG_2123 IMG_2125 IMG_2126 IMG_2124 IMG_2116

  • Fresh Fruit Cocktail
  • Sirloin Tapa
  • Crispy dilis
  • Daing na Bangus
  • Scrambled Egg
  • Chicken/Pork Adobo
  • Rice (Garlic & Plain)
  • Arroz Caldo
  • Bibingka
  • Puto Bumbong
  • Drinks (Dalandan/Calamansi/Coffee)

This costs Php170 with no left over. The food is just normal, the crispy dilis is a lil salty for my taste. The others are just normal… The puto bumbong tasted like bubble gum.. I do like their arroz caldo though.

I don’t think I’ll come back. The food is okay, it’s just that I live far and I’m not really impressed with the food that we tried.

——————-
I’ve been there before but I wasn’t a serious blogger then… so when I had the chance to eat there again, I made sure that I took pictures… so here I am… blogging!

I just remembered that their steaks are really good. We ordered something different today.
Here are what we ordered:

  • Grilled Maple Porkies (Php290)
IMG_2049

In short, porkchops! Served with vegetables & mashed potatoes. I ate one piece, just normal porkchops, nothing special. hehehehe but looks good though.

  • Salpicao (Php260)
IMG_2048

U.S. beef chunks cooked with garlic served with vegetables & garlic rice. This is a different kind of salpicao… full of sauce, very tasty… but I prefer the common kind of salpicao… just with plain garlic..

  • Iced Tea – Single Serve (Php40), Bottomless (Php75)
IMG_2053

  • White Chocolate Macademia (Php180)
IMG_2061

This one I SUPER over to the MAX love! grabe it’s soooooooooooooo delicious!!!!! One of the best ice cream I tasted EVER! but it’s a very expensive one though and I think one person cannot finish this.

Anyway, this is a white chocolate ice cream with macademia cookies, toasted macademia nuts & cookie chunks. I don’t know what to say but this is a well-made ice cream. yummy!

  • Bubble Gum Blast (Php110)
IMG_2057

I didn’t order this but my friend told me that it tasted good. I believe my friend coz the ice cream I ordered is super duper delicious hehee.

Five Cows’ main meals are just normal but their desserts are good. So if ever I’ll go back there, it’ll be because I want to have desserts there. You should really their ice cream!

Nach-O-Fast

——————–
Eastwood mall doesn’t seem to have a lot of choices for Movie snacks.
We haven’t eaten dinner that time and only have 20minutes to get food.
We have chosen Nach-O-Fast… it says “fast” in its name so could be quick right? hehehe.

Their combo meals caught my eye. Me & my friend ordered our combo meal of choice:

  • Combo Meal 1 (Php150)
IMG_2044

My friend ordered this. It is a combination of Nachos, Cheese Flautas, drink & a Roast chicken wrap. I’m not really fond of breads & wraps but the cheese flautas is really tempting.. yummy!

  • Combo Meal 4
IMG_2047

I ordered this. I really love corndogs!!!!!! anything corn and anything hotdogs hahaha! Kidding aside, combo meal 4 is a combination of Nachos, Quesadillas, Drink & Corn Dog. Super yummy! I was able to finish everything before we even went to the theater. hehhe.

At first, I was kinda disappointed that I have to call the store personnel quite a few times before they can attend to us. 2 staff personnel were busy cooking & preparing while the other one is busy sweeping the floor. But later I realized that they are just short-handed, seems like all 3 are all-around peeps… they can either serve food, prepare food, clean the store, act as cashier, etc.

The food is good! I love it! I hope they open more branches near the cinemas like in Powerplant mall, megamall or Ayala cinemas. This is a good alternative to popcorn & other common movie snacks.
