My friend told me that the breakfast buffet at Crowne Plaza is to die for. So I was a bit excited to have breakfast there. I called up the reception & asked which floor do I go to for breakfast and I was informed that it’s located at the 3F, the name of the restaurant is seven corners.
The room rate already includes buffet breakfast for 2 but if you’re just going there for breakfast. The rate is Php 928 nett per person 🙂

Man, the buffet is just awesome! It has everything you can think of.

Let me divide it in sections:
  • Drinks – As soon as you are seated, the server would ask you coffee or tea. Aside from that, there’s a variety of choices in the buffet. Includes juices like orange, grape, watermelon, mango. There’s also low fat milk, fresh milk & water with lemon available.
  • Fruits in Syrup, Yoghurt
  • Cereals
  • Salad & Fruits
  • Breads – Wheat, White, White Loaf Slice, Brown Loaf Slice w/ choices of Peach Jam, Peanut Butter, Strawberry, Butter, Margarine.
  • Cold Cuts
  • French Toast, Pancake, Waffles with choice of syrup: honey, maple
  • Filipino Breakfast Dishes like Beef Tapa, Pork Tocino, Chicken
  • Broccoli, Hash Browns, Bacon
  • Sausages – Pork & Chicken
  • Fried Noodles, Congee
  • Noodle Soup, Dimsum (dumplings, siomai, siopao)
  • Miso Soup
  • Eggs – cooked whichever you want (sunny side up, scrambled, omelette)
  • Vegetables, pork & beans
  • Rice – garlic & steamed
People say pictures are worth a thousand words, let me show you some pictures from the buffet.

——————–
I wanted to relax and have a worry-free & stress-free weekend, that’s why I decided to spend one night at the new Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila.

I booked for the Deluxe Room but when I arrived at the hotel, they informed me that they upgraded my room to Executive Suite (without additional charge!!! :D). It was a 3-level upgrade (since there’s still grand deluxe & premiere rooms after deluxe). I was pretty ecstatic and felt that I would definitely have a great time staying.

Here are the rates so you can see the different room types:

  • Deluxe Room – Php 7,187.50
  • Grand Deluxe Room – Php 8,062.50
  • Premier Room – Php 8,437.50
  • Executive Suite – Php 10,937.50
  • Premiere Suite – Php 12,812.50
  • Grand Club Suite – Php 12,812.50
  • Crowne Suite – Php 18,437.50

I was in total awe when I entered a room, I suddenly felt that I should have invited a female friend to stay with me so someone else can also experience it 🙂

Let me show you the room by dividing it into 3 parts:

The Living Room – full-length mirror, trouser presser, work table, television, refrigerator, sofa table.

IMG_7568

The Bedroom – bed, television, sofa, dresser, bathrobe, safety deposit box, flashlight, alarm clock.

The Washroom – I don’t know what to say… This is just the best washroom I’ve ever been! Coolness to the highest level. I ended up staying in the bath tub for hours! The washroom is actually divided into 2.

The 1st one is the one connected at the bedroom with bathtub, beauty area, shower room, toilet bowl.

The 2nd one is connected to the living room with beauty area & toilet bowl.

Ofcourse, the rate include buffet breakfast for 2 at the 7 corners restaurant. A charge of Php 1,875 will be imposed for extra person exceeding 2.

I was also able to walk around the hotel and found the ff. establishments:

  • Seven Corners
    IMG_7621
  • Xin Tian Di
    IMG_7623
  • Suriya Spa
    IMG_7618
  • Gold’s Gym
    IMG_7617
  • Kids Play Area
    IMG_7608
  • Ballrooms
    IMG_7622
  • Fab Restaurant
    IMG_7616
  • Bar One
    IMG_7615
  • Toyz
    IMG_7610
  • Swimming Pool
    IMG_7619
  • Agenda
    IMG_7626

Service is very good as well. A warning though, if you’re going to order for delivery, you will need to go down the lobby and drop by the employee area to get your orders which is a bit inconvenient in my honest opinion. Everything else is superb!

I definitely recommend this hotel to everyone 🙂

Canton Soup Kitchen

Canton Soup Kitchen
Unit-C 847 Banawe corner Linao Street, Quezon City
(02) 743-5249
——————-
While waiting for tune up & change oil to finish, Ankol & I had lunch at this new place in Banawe, Canton Soup Kitchen.
I initially thought that it’s just a small eating place but after seeing the menu, it’s a pretty decent restaurant after all. I would suggest they get a bigger place. Coz the food is really good! I plan to try out their other dishes some other time.

Here are what we ordered:
  • Garlic Burst Spareribs (Php 185)
IMG_7550
Best spareribs I ever tasted. I think this is slightly better than the spareribs in Mann Yann (one of my fav restaurant). Not oily, very tasty 🙂
  • Steamed Fish Fillet w/ Japanese Tofu (Php 220)
IMG_7553
This one is also yummy!!! The spices just fits together. Fish tasted fresh, tofu is just yummy! perfect sauce.
  • Fresh Pear w/ Lemon Blend (Php 65)
IMG_7548
This one I didn’t like. I guess that’s why restaurants don’t server Pear juice. I do think the restaurant just wanted to be unique but I think pears are meant to be eaten only. It just tasted like lemonade.
Aside from the food, the restaurant is also well-designed 🙂 Very chinese-themed, even the music is chinese (remember Ting Le Kun?).
