Sugarbunnies by Sanrio

I attended the Hello Kitty Online Bloggers Party last night, I have yet to post a review of HKO but will need to personally play it first so I can provide a better review 🙂

Gift Gate/Sanrio was one of the sponsors of the event. They introduced to us their new collection, Sugarbunnies goodies!

Centerstage Family KTV & Resto Bar
2/F CTTM Square, Timog Avenue corner Tomas Morato, Quezon City

Christina & I bond every now & then, our favorite past time is either shopping, karaoke or dining out 🙂
Last night, it was KTV time. Our original plan was to go to Red Box but since we met at around 9pm plus already, it was already too late to go there. So we decided to go to Music 21. Unfortunately, it was jam-packed so we have to find another place to go.
Then after 15 minutes of roaming around Timog/Tomas Morato area, we saw the centerstage sign at the circle. We parked at the basement and went straight to the 2/F to check if there is available KTV room for us.

We were asked to wait in their waiting area. The 1st thing you’ll notice is their display of black CD’s with celebrity notes. Beside it are collection of pictures of those celebrities with the Centerstage staff.

On the other side is the open bar where anyone can sing their heart out for everyone to hear 😛 Do I plan to ever try singing at that part of the place? No way! That’s why I only go to karaoke and not be a professional singer, it is mainly because I don’t sing well! hahahaha

Luckily, there is an available room! We got the smallest room ofcourse since there was just the 2 of us 🙂 No promo running but room rate is Php85 per room per person, non-consumable. Not bad..
Here is what the room looks like:

You’ll notice one computer monitor where you’ll look at when choosing songs. It’s quite self-explanatory though coz you’ll just have to click the corresponding numbers to make your choices.
I was a bit disappointed with the service, we will need to go out of the room and look for a server if we want to order or take the bill. Very inconvenient considering they have a button in their remote for service and also a phone near the door for service calls. Though once we got hold of a server, she was all smiles and very accomodating.
Another thing that disappointed me was the sounds. I have yet to find a good KTV bar with good sounds especially when you use their microphone.
But still, Christina & I had a good time. Spending time with your best friend no matter where you are is heaven 🙂 Thanks Chris for the time! See you soon.

Emperor Toastmasters Club

So glad I attended last night’s toastmaster’s meeting. It has been a long time since I last attended the sessions mainly because of schedule conflicts. The meetings are set every 1st & 3rd wednesdays and 4th friday of the month. I’ll make sure I’ll attend frequently next time 🙂
If you wanna know what toastmasters is, it is an organization that helps people become more competent in public speaking 🙂 I joined it last year because I really have troubles speaking in public, whenever the spotlight is on me, I just black out. Since I haven’t been attending the meetings much, I still have this fear.

Basically, toastmasters meet weekly where they practice their skills by filling a meeting role. Meeting roles are as follow:
  • Toastmaster of the Evening
  • General Evaluator
  • Language Evaluator
  • Table Topics Master
  • Time Manager
  • Ah Counter
  • Table Topics Evaluator
  • Speech Evaluator
Here is the program schedule that we follow every meeting:
  1. Opening Portion (Invocation, Toastmaster’s Promise, Opening Remarks, Word of the Day, Introduction of Members & Guests)
  2. Introduction of Toastmaster of the Meeting (Opening, Introduction of Meeting Roles)
  3. Educational Portion (Table Topics, Speeches)
  4. Evaluation Portion (General Evaluator Opening Remarks, Table Topics Evaluation, Speech Evaluation, Language Evaluation, Ah Counter Report, Timer Report, General Evaluator Closing Remarks)
  5. Concluding Portion (Closing Remarks, President’s Time, Guest Observations, Adjournment, Picture Taking)
Aside from being able to improve your speaking & leadership skills. One other thing that I love with the club I’m in, Emperor Toastmasters, is that the people are just sooooo warm & nice.
If you are interested to join toastmasters, you can choose a location near you. Just click here, you won’t regret it 🙂

Roch’s Games Wishlist

I’m a gamer too but not a good one! hahaha!

I used to play a lot of World of Warcraft but stopped a few months ago due to time constraints.

There are lots more games that I used to play: counterstrike, sims, c&c generals, etc.

Playing games is also one source of stress reliever, enjoyment, something you want to do if you want to relax and forget about stressful stuff.

Here are my Gaming wishlist:

  • Playstation 3 Rock Band 2 Special Edition
00062753-406609_400
How can you play PS3 without Rockband? It’s such a craze right now. All internet cafe in the country have this to offer. Even our office has one! 🙂

  • PSP Go – Black
psp-go-1
This will come out on October. I do feel it’s sooo cool! I would want to have this! A small gaming machine you can bring wherever you go! It’s a bit pricey though, I think it will retail at $250.
  • Warcraft III Battle Chest
5197N5X6RCL._SS400_

After I stopped playing WoW, I learned about DOTA. My officemates and some friends are playing this that I ended up wanting to learn how to play this right so I can finally join them in this game.

I’m still not good at it so I wanted to have a copy of Warcraft III so I can practice on my own. Once I know enough, I’ll join the group games. 🙂

Another Car-Related Misfortune

IMG_7347

See that tire? That’s mine :'(
I was driving along Edsa last night when I suddenly heard weird sounds. I ignored it at first and thought that it was just noisy outside and besides my car is an old one. So I thought it was normal.
After awhile, the sound was really getting louder & louder. I already had this gut feeling that I was running flat. Unfortunately though, There was no gas station around.

So I have to drive till I reach a gas station located at Aurota Boulevard. I asked if anyone of them can help me change my tire. One of them did 🙂 I gave the guy Php 100 as an incentive, if not for him, I don’t even know how I will go home with that kind of tire damage.
Now I have a new dilemma. Another suprise expense for me, it seems like I’m spending so much on my car now. The other year I spent 60k on repairs, last year about 20k and this year, I’m just scared, don’t want to even think about it.
Looking at the positive side, I’m safe!!! Imagine driving with that kind of tire? I can easily enter into car accidents but I was safe! Thank God! 🙂
Change all 4 tires, buy 1 more extension tire. And the budget? I’m so dead. :'(
