Haircut at Essentuals Toni & Guy

3602682568_4068223717

I had my haircut for the 1st time at Essentuals Toni & Guy located at the 6750 Retail Arcade Building in Makati City last June 6, 2009 (right after I attended the Facebook EB vs Con-Ass).

As a background, I usually change my hairstyle every time my birthday or christmas is coming up. So I do this twice a year. For the past 2-3 years, what I did was just to curl my hair during May/June & straighten my hair during December

I wanted something new for my birthday. I wanted DRASTIC change, I wanted to cut my hair real short. A look that people will definitely notice.

I mentioned this to “Aljheal” who is a senior stylist at Toni & Guy. He mentioned that short hair DOESN’T suit me but he’ll cut my hair to a style that will fit me. I trusted him and let him do his magic.

I was totally satisfied, I look better (I think! hahaha) and I felt that my hair has style compared to the dull long hair that I had before the cut was made. Aljheal also mentioned that I might want to have my hair digitally permed as it suits the haircut better. I told him I’ll think about it. Besides, it’s really not that cheap to have your hair done nowadays. He set my hair so I can see how it is if I curl it.

I definitely recommend Aljheal, I loved my haircut a whole lot. You can reach him via Toni & Guy at (02) 812-8559.

The haircut costs me Php750 then I gave Aljheal a Php100 tip and the girl who assisted him Php50. So all in all, I spent Php900.

I’m still thinking if I should go for the digital perm, I’ll do this at Tony & Jackey and this will cost me another Php3,000. I’m leaning towards doing this on December though. Let’s see

Facebook Eyeball vs Con-Ass

I attended the 1st Facebook Eyeball versus Con-Ass last June 6, 2009. This was brought about when the House of Representatives happened to pass the Con-Ass resolution # 1109.

3601849847_fd6df5323f

The main purpose of the event is to raise awareness by using internet media like facebook & blogging. The weather was pretty bad that day but it was still well-attended. Paranaque Congressman Roilo Golez was the special speaker in this eyeball. He narrated to us what happened that night, we asked some questions and the discussions went on with the attendees.

3602661670_bbe1ce9634

The event was also covered by TV media like ABS-CBN, GMA & TV5.

Basically, Resolution # 1109 aims to amend/revise the constitution. A lot of people are against this as election is upcoming and there is a big chance that the government might use this to their advantage. We still want to have elections to go through next year right?

After the discussions, we were asked to sign on the freedom wall. Just a message that we want to share with the congressmen who voted for the resolution.

By the way, the event was organized by Ople Center. If you share the same advocacies & ideals of Ople Center, you can sign up as an Ople Center volunteer by calling their hotline at (02) 833-5337.

1st Annual Dodgeball Tournament at Club 650 Libis

playboy-poster-revised

The 1st ever annual dodgeball tournament organized by Playboy Philippines happened last May 30, 2009 for the benefit of Gives Back Foundation.

This tournament aims to raise at least Php200,000 for the chemotherapy of 9 cancer patients at the Veterans Hospital in Q.C.

There were a total of 8 teams who joined the tournament coming from various sectors like celebrities, media, bloggers, sponsors, etc.

I was part of one of the blogger teams called Blogballers. Though we didn’t make it to the semifinals, we all had fun! I myself is thrilled as it was the 1st time that I played the game and learned & practiced the game all in 1 day

The Philippine Dodgeball Association was there to help teach the players how to properly play dodgeball. The objective of the game is mainly to eliminate all members of the opposing team by hitting them with balls. Players (4-10 players on each team) will need to throw the ball to hit a member of the opposing team. Once a player is hit, they get eliminated BUT once an opposing member catch a thrown ball, they will be brought back to the game again. So this ends as soon as 1 team has noone left in the playing court.

Thanks to the sponsors for making this happen. Sponsors include 100 Plus, Lozatech, Capsulac, Potato Chips, etc.

Lozatech Team emerged as champions in this tournament. Congratulations to them! Their strategy and energy to play is really outstanding!
