How to add a FavIcon to your Site in Blogger

Ever wanted to have your very own icon beside your website address when people view your site? Like this one?

I just learned it today and it’s just easy!! 🙂

Here are the steps that I took in order to create my FavIcon:

Choose a picture or image that you would like to use as your favicon.
Go to DynamicDrive.com & click FavIcon Generator.
Upload your picture & DynamicDrive will automatically create your icon.
Save the file to your computer.
Go to PicPanda.com & upload your FavIcon (no need to register).
Remember/Copy the location of your FavIcon in PicPanda.
Go to your Blogger dashboard & Click Layout then edit HTML
Insert this code
after this line
Save template and that’s it! You now have your own FavIcon! 🙂

Major Overhaul of HeaRty’s Haven

Made some major changes in the site. I’m loving it and I think it has great improvement. However, I would need your help friends!! Please let me know what else I can do to improve the site 🙂

Here are the changes from before:

Domain – Yes, I already have my own domain. http://superoldblog.hearty.ph
Banner – Thank you so much to my friend Carlos for helping me design the banner, I love it!!!
Template – I’m now using “Isabella”. Used to use “Minima”. Thank you to my friend Cher for helping me find this wonderful template. Appreciate spending an afternoon guiding me to improve HeaRty’s Haven.
Widgets – cleaned it up completely. Removed & added several gadgets. Though I think I still need more.
Read More Script – I added this script, thanks to my plurk friends for pointing me to the tutorial (I’ll post how I did it soon). The template used to show the full blog post but now I tweaked it and I feel the blog looks more organized now after I added the script.

I still believe there are just some more room for improvement. But I really need your help! Please leave your comment and help out a friend improve her site 😉

Launch of Moringa Wellness & Beauty Products

I attended an event organized by Chrimi, a company responsible for the manufacture & distribution of Moringa Wellness & Beauty Products last July 11, 2009. It was attended by bloggers, facebook & multiply users, held at Max’s Restaurant Greenhills.

People behind Chrimi introduced their line of products, presenting to us the nutritional benefits of Moringa/Malunggay (the common ingredient to all their products).

I didn’t realize that Malunggay leaves has this much benefit to our health. And when they let us try Chrimi Health Coffee, I was like wow! this really tasted so good!

Casino Royale Bloggers Event at Resorts World

It was such an honor to be invited to the Casino Royale -themed bloggers event as we get to experience first hand the newest & exciting destination for play, Resorts World Manila last June 26, 2009.

We were asked to be in formal attire, I have chosen to wear the yellow gown from Jeff & Jackie’s wedding a few years back. It was also so nice to see the bloggers dress up in style as we always just wear casual clothes during blog events.

Alliance Global & Star Cruises teamed up to build the country’s most modern & luxurious gaming facility called Resorts World Manila at the Newport City, an integrated tourism city at the Villamore air base in Pasay City. It offers a lot more:

We were given a tour around the place. The one that really caught my attention is the model unit of the suite in Maxims Hotel. We were told that Maxims Hotel Newport City will feature 172 Maxims Suites, 3 villas & 1 presidential suite from fourth to eighth floors. A personal butler will service all the suites, which start at a floor area of 54 square meters for the suites, 535 square meters for the villas & 652 square meter for the presidential suite. Cool, isn’t it? I’m kinda positive also that the rates will be very expensive. I asked the person who gave us the tour and she told us that the suite will have a rate of $500 dollars/day (corporate rate is at $350/day).

The 3 villas with individual pools are planned at the 4th floor together with the luxurious pool for the exclusive use of hotel guests. The lower floors will be allocated for the entertainment center which will feature signature brands at the G/F, performance stage at the 2/F & four cinemas at the 3rd floor. Can you imagine how good the place will look once the development is complete? I can and I’m definitely excited.

How can the event be complete without us trying out the gaming facilities? They organized a Baccarat tournament for us bloggers. I didn’t win but I surely enjoyed the game 🙂

I was also able to try all the other games like the slot machines, pontoon, blackjack, roulette & caribbean stud poker. I really had a great time & for sure when Resorts World opens its doors on August 8, 2009, I’ll make time to bring some of my friends to check the place out. So exciting to have a Las Vegas-like place here in the Philippines.

By the way, they also gave out prizes to the King & Queen of the night. Luckily, I was able to take pictures with both of them during the start of the event.

Sandbox Media Launch

I attended the Media Launch for My Sandbox at Bureau (located at A.Venue) last June 11, 2009. This was a star-studded event to celebrate the new service called sandbox. Hosted by famous DJs Mo Twister & Mojo Jojo, everyone was in awe watching how the organizers presented what sandbox is..

This is definitely essential especially for Smart Mobile users. As soon as the program ended, I left the venue, too bad that I wasn’t able to claim the giveaway (skullcandy headset – & PCD VIP tickets).
