Coral Garden
——————–
One of my all-time favorite Chinese restaurants… soooooooooo delicious. I can’t stop craving for it, especially the salted fish fried rice ohh I miss it already ![]()
I practically left my friend no choice but to eat there coz I just had that determination to eat there that day hehehehe (sorry! you know who you are hehehe).
I enjoy every single dish I order there, I don’t even remember even one single instance wherein I didn’t like the food we ordered. Let’s see.
Here are what we ordered:
- Crispy Bean Curd (Php198)
Coral Garden is actually known for their famous Crispy Tofu with yummy sauce. I’m not the type of person who loves sauces but with their tofu, it just isn’t complete without the sauce. So I always make it a point to request for more… sauce hehehe ![]()
- Spicy Eggplant with Minced Pork (Php210)
I really just love how they prepared this. It’s super tasty and we don’t need fried rice for this.
- Salted Fish Fried Rice (Php150)
I don’t know why I love their rendition of salted fish fried rice (I also love EQUALLY the version made by Mann Yann/Hann). I can just eat this without any other dishes. It’s a meal on its own.
- Black & White Gulaman (Php55)
A combination of Black Gulaman & Almond Gulaman. 2 of my favorite drink ingredients rolled into one? why not? perfect it is.

I have been looking for the best coffee/tea place out there. I really don’t get what’s special with Starbucks. I felt that it’s just a status symbol thing. I don’t get it!!!
Anyhow, I’m still searching for places where I can hang out with friends after dinner. I think I found it with Dezaato Pan.
It has everything
-> Bread (somewhat like Bread Talk… We put the breads in a tray and pay at the cashier)

-> Coffee (We didn’t order coz we ordered ice cream, next time I’ll try their coffee/tea)
-> Cakes (Looks really good and I think their cakes are priced reasonably)
-> Gelato [this one we tried out, I ordered Coffee flavor while my friend ordered Ferrero Rocher (Php70)] – verdict: super duper good, they are also generous in their serving ![]()
I think for a coffee place like this, they almost have the best of everything (bread talk-like pastries, amici-like gelatos, starbucks-like coffee/tea, cheesecake etc-like cakes). Their ambiance is good as well, they have free wifi! ![]()
When I need to hang out or just want to go out and read a book, play with my laptop or something, I’ll definitely choose this place as it’s located near my house and it’s cozy and service is uber cool too!

Yellow Chicken Inasal Food House

——————–
I’ve been wanting to try out this restaurant ever since when. Since we always pass by Banawe, this always catches my eye. I know it just looks like the same old inasal restaurants but I just have this feeling that it’s good.
So when I had the chance, I asked my friend if we could eat there.
We ordered the ff.:
- Mixed Seafoods (Php180)
Combination of shrimps, squid, tahong, clams, crab served in a sweet & sour sauce? I’m not really sure what sauce it is. I didn’t order this so I just tried 1 piece squid heehhehe… tasted okay.
- Plain Rice (Php40)
- Hita (Php80)
A quarter chicken composed of thigh and leg.YUMMY ! This is all I can say, I’m completely satisfied. The chicken is juicy and I like it more when dipped in their sauce.

- Minute Maid (Php40)
While we were still waiting for our orders, we were served peanuts! cool!

Overall, I’m very satisfied. I think this is one of the better Inasal Restaurants out there. And it’s just near my house ![]()
Seven Pounds Movie Review
Posted by Rochelle Sy Chua On February 16, 2009
I watched this movie last week and I ended up crying ![]()
It was about a man named Tim Thomas (Will Smith), who was involved in a car crash and killed 7 people including his fiance. This is due to him using his cellphone while driving. Serves as a lesson for us right?
Tim can’t seem to get over his guilt over what happened and decided to pay back by helping 7 different people.
- his brother Ben – he gave him a lung lobe
- child services worker Holly – he gave her part of his liver
- junior hockey coach – George – he gave a kidney
- a young boy Nicholas – he gave a bone marrow
- a mother of 2 kids w/ an abusive boyfriend – he gave his beach house
- blind meat salesman Ezra – he gave his corneas
- greeting card printer Emily – he gave his heart
As the story goes, I really can’t help but feel sorry for him. I mean I surely am guilty of texting while driving. I’ve been doing that and luckily have not been in an accident. He’s a good person, he doesn’t drink but he just got unlucky coz he was thinking about work. When I think about it, I might/will do the same thing. It just pains me to see someone go through that because of one innocent mistake. So sad… ![]()
I went out of the movie with my nose really really red. I hid in the washroom for a few minutes till I look a lil better hehehe.
I guess the biggest lesson here is not to text while driving. You don’t know that 1 simple mistake like that can do to our lives…
My rating for Seven Pounds: 4.5 out of 5 stars.

An officemate of ours was given this cereal by an Indian vendor. He shared it to the team and I felt I ate most of it coz it was left in my area.

It’s sooooooooooo overly delicious! Love it love it love it!!! ![]()
Was able to finish the whole box in less than an hour. It’s super tasty & spicy. Really didn’t felt like a cereal but more of a snack.

I wish I can buy this somewhere in the Philippines. Tried searching for it on the net and found out that it was manufactured by Frontier Biscuit and this is part of their Namkeen Packs. I still don’t think I can buy this somewhere in Manila though ![]()
