  • Burgoo
  • The Spa
  • Blue Water Day Spa
  • Slimmer’s World
  • Fitness First
  • Nestle Philippines
  • BTI Marsman
  • Honda Cars
  • Cashflow Group
  • SM Cinemas

I bought gift cheques at Blue Water Day Spa due to their promo of Php50 to Php100 off on services. I know I have to grab that opportunity coz it’s not everyday that we get discounts on spa services.

I’m not really fond of body massages, I tried it out before but I ended up just laughing my heart out coz it tickled me a lot hahahaha! So what I usually do to relieve stress is to have a foot spa.

I have chosen to buy their twin package of foot reflexology & back massage. I bought 1 for their Makati branch and 1 for their Ortigas branch. I have yet to try their Ortigas branch but last monday, me and my friend Maus tried out the Makati branch.

While I was writing this blog post, I checked out their website and saw this description for the twin package: Relax the feet, back and the face, too, with this treatment that includes a 10 minute-Facial Crystal Massage. They didn’t give us the 10-minute facial crystal massage!!! That’s false advertising! Anyway, Php350 for a Php450 service is already okay, so no more complaints hehehe.

The Foot reflexology room has a beach theme. You’ll see several white chairs lined up with blue towels and a big poster of celebrities Piolo Pascual & Marian Rivera at the back of the room.

They’ll bring out the foot spa machine with warm water and soap to where you’re sit at. You have to put your feet there for a few minutes.

That’s my feet, oh yeah! You see the red marks on my feet? SUNBURN!! badly sunburned during our trip to Pangasinan last week. I wish the original color of my skin would come back though it’s really nice to see tan lines all over my body heheheehe an evidence that I went to the beach.

The next thing is the actual foot massage, this is soothing. Maus even took a nap while I control the remote and watch television. I was able to watch an episode of Ghost Whisperer. Relax galore!

Lastly, the back massage. Tickling hahahahaa. But very good, I’m pretty sure the massage therapist felt the stress in my body. I also noticed that the person is well-trained as the massage is really soothing and relaxing.

Php 450 is a fair price for this twin package. Personally though, I wouldn’t spend that much amount for a foot reflexology service. I got this for Php350 and I’m happy.

If you wanna try it out yourself, here is their Makati branch details:

Paid Toilet Lounge

I really don’t get it why some malls charge parking fees and now toilet fees to their customers. It is just too much and I believe it’s just another way for them to make money which is really unfair to us customers IMHO.

After eating at Fish & Co. Shangri-La mall, my friend wanted to go to the washroom. We stumbled upon this paid toilet. The fee is Php10.00 per person. I kinda expected the washroom to be a lil better than normal since we are obliged to pay a certain fee.

Much to my surprise, Shangri-La mall’s washroom is just normal. I don’t even see any napkins on the faucet (there is a toilet paper in the cubicle). No lotion, powder or anything. It’s not spacious too. So It’s just pretty normal & nothing special. So I really think they should not charge us for it.

I don’t know if there is a toilet that is free for all within the mall. But anyhow, I still think this should be free. It reminds me of Glorietta washrooms but at least they have lotions, powders, etc in the washroom and there is also free washrooms beside the lounge which gives us customers choice if we want to pay or not.

I specifically like Powerplant mall coz I don’t recall them having any toilet that will need us to pay. Yet their washroom are super duper clean, spacious, complete with amenities. I hope other malls will follow Powerplant mall’s practice.

Usual Extra Things You can Do in Boracay

There are 4 things people do in Boracay whenever they find time, they are the ff.:

  • Hair Braid

Have you always wanted to have a hairdo like the ones being done by the Africans, Blacks, etc? I’m sure we do, they look good and look really tedious to do… So it’s not a common thing for us since it’s expensive to do here and it’s hard to maintain.

It’s quite common in Boracay and I said to myself that one day before we go home, I’ll definitely try it out.

The girl told me that doing it will cost me around Php200-250, I said that it’s too expensive and haggled till we both agreed that I’ll pay Php150 for the hairdo. Wow, it really took almost 30minutes to do. But I’m definitely satisfied. The girl who did this is really good, I’m impressed.

  • Henna Tattoo

I believe this is the most popular from the 4. Both guys and girls will have tattoos on their arms, back, legs & abdomen area. The price ranges from Php100-200 depending on the size of the tattoo.

Last christmas when I was in Boracay, there really wasn’t much people there and business is quite bad. While I was walking in the beach, a person asked me if I like to have a henna tattoo and he’ll give 50% discount. Ofcourse, I agreed. I only paid Php100 for the tattoo. I’m very satisfied.

The tattoo lasted for about 2 weeks. Worth it.

  • Glitter Tattoo

Another version of tattoo is the Glitter one. I think mostly girls will want to do this. It’s pretty “kikay” in a way. And it is more expensive than the henna one. It looks good on the 1st day but after that, ugghhh.

The 1st thing they do is to ask if you put on lotion, if yes, they will need to put alcohol and remove it coz the glue won’t stick with the lotion on your skin. 2nd, they’ll put the pattern on the area where you want the tattoo to be on. Next, they’ll put glue then they’ll put the glitters and lastly clean it up.

Mine (arm) costs Php150 and my mom (hand) also has one, hers costs Php100.

  • Body Massage
My mom and her friends had their massages and it costs about Php250-300 per person. It takes about an hour. I’m not fond of massages coz it tickles hahahaa so no pictures here sorry
