I was watching How I Met Your Mother and saw one of the characters wearing the dress.
It is a dress and NOT a bikini, looks cool isn’t it?
I really want to have one!
Anyone know where I can buy it here in Manila or in other countries?

I became soo interested in this movie after watching the Oscars. It was like nominated 10 times and won most of it including Best Picture. They also performed there and that also made me curious! ![]()
Watched this movie with Joana when we had our girl bonding last week. We are both so impressed with the movie. I do agree that this is definitely oscar-worthy.
The movie started with a question:
“Jamal Malik is one question away from winning 20 million rupees. How did he do it?”
Jamal is a contestant on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. And the story just unfolds there. As each question was asked, Jamal’s story is also being shown.. revealing that Jamal knows all the answers as he has experienced them all… I don’t wanna go into details as I think this is not yet shown here in Manila. But you get the gist..
At the end of the movie, you’ll know the answer to the question of how Jamal won the money.
There’s also a dance number at the end with all the cast and other dancers… cool & nice to watch.
I love it! ![]()

Watched this with long-lost friends/colleagues at Powerplant Cinema. People has been saying that this is a really nice movie so I wanted to watch it to see if it’s really good.
This film is an adoption of a famous novel series, shopaholic written by Sophie Kinsella. I haven’t read the book so I really cannot compare. My friends told me that me that it’s very different from the book. I guess it’s really rare for a movie to be better than the books. There’s really no perfect adapation, there’s just good adaptation.
Basically, this movie revolves around a girl who’s a shopaholic. She moved to Manhattan to be part of a magazine called Alette but didn’t get the job. She followed the advice of the receptionist to apply to Successful Saving w/c is also a part of the company where Alette magazine is in. Unfortunately, she initially didn’t get the job as well. Frustrated, she wrote letters to both Alette Magazine & Successful Savings editors while she was drunk. She mistakenly exchanged 2 letters. She ended up being hired to Successful Savings because the editor was very impressed with the article she has written. She was then recognized as “the girl with the green scarf”. I don’t wanna indulge more details as people who has not watched it might get so pissed off reading my post hehehe.
I can’t really say that it’s an excellent movie. What I can say is… it is a feel-good movie. If you had a stressful day and wanna relax then this is the best movie to watch. It’s funny & light ![]()
My Rating for Confessions of a Shopaholic: 3.5 out of 5 stars.

I was planning to watch “He’s Just Not Into You” but apparently the theater that is showing it only has twin-lover seats. Since I’m with a friend, why would we watch it there right? weird… ![]()
Anyway, we ended up watching “The International”. I got word that it is a good movie. As expected, it is indeed Good! Since the day before I watched “Confessions of a Shopaholic” w/c is a feel-good movie, it’s time to watch something serious & action-oriented.
It is a story about 2 people (an Interpol agent & Manhattan assistant district attorney) investigating corruption on a bank called International Bank of Business & Credit (IBBC). This stars Clive Owen & Naomi Watts. They uncovered several illegal activities that IBBC is doing like money laundering, arms trading & government destabilization.
Pretty well done and I don’t feel the time at all. It’s just sad that since the movie is about 2 hours long. I need to go to the washroom, I was really trying to wait for the movie to be finished but I just cannot take it anymore hahahahahaha! So when I went to the washroom finally and came back to the theater.. I realized that I missed the last 15minutes of the movie!!!!!! Sooooooo saddd ![]()
So anyone would like to share what I have missed? awww… I might need to watch this again when a DVD comes out… so sad that I missed the most important part in the movie hehehe.
Verdict: 4/5 ![]()

I watched this movie last week and I ended up crying ![]()
It was about a man named Tim Thomas (Will Smith), who was involved in a car crash and killed 7 people including his fiance. This is due to him using his cellphone while driving. Serves as a lesson for us right?
Tim can’t seem to get over his guilt over what happened and decided to pay back by helping 7 different people.
As the story goes, I really can’t help but feel sorry for him. I mean I surely am guilty of texting while driving. I’ve been doing that and luckily have not been in an accident. He’s a good person, he doesn’t drink but he just got unlucky coz he was thinking about work. When I think about it, I might/will do the same thing. It just pains me to see someone go through that because of one innocent mistake. So sad… ![]()
I went out of the movie with my nose really really red. I hid in the washroom for a few minutes till I look a lil better hehehe.
I guess the biggest lesson here is not to text while driving. You don’t know that 1 simple mistake like that can do to our lives…
My rating for Seven Pounds: 4.5 out of 5 stars.
