I love soups! and I just found out recently that it’s healthier to eat soups than stir-fried stuff. With that in mind, I’ll be cooking more dishes like Pork Sinigang. For the past few months, I have been attending cooking demos at the Maya Kitchen. My main reason for doing so is to learn tips from famous chefs in the Philippines. Plus, I get to sample their creations on the same day and get to have copies of the recipes.

I’ve never heard of Bagis. I only discovered it through Kawaling Pinoy, a website owned by a Filipina. I love her photos and her recipes are very easy to follow. When I saw her photo of Bagis, it got me interested. I saw that the main ingredients in this dish are ground beef, calamansi juice and thai child peppers. I wondered how Bagis tasted like.
