Sometimes we meet people who are either scary or annoying, we would want them to stop stalking us or have any relations with us. Since most of us have instant messengers & social networking sites, there is a way for us not to receive any messages from them and also a way for us to prevent them from seeing our profile at the sites.

The people that we usually want to ignore or block are the ff.:

• Stalkers
• Con Artists
• Criminals
• Psycho People
  

So here are the instructions on how to block people:

Yahoo Messenger – Go to preferences -> Privacy -> choose Ignore list -> add the yahoo id of the person you want to block.

MSN Messenger – Go to tools -> options -> Privacy -> add people you want to block.

AIM – Click on the buddy you want to block -> click on buddies on the pull down menu -> select block (buddy’s name) -> click on block

Google Talk – find the name of the person on your contact list -> click on it and a new profile tab will open -> click the “block” button.

Skype – right-click name of the contact you want to block -> click Block This User

Facebook – Go to My Privacy Page -> put the person’s name in the block people box -> click search -> choose the person you want to block -> click Block Person

Friendster – Go to the person’s profile -> click block

Multiply – Go to the user’s homepage -> click block user on the right side of the page

Twitter – Go to the user’s twitter page -> click block

Plurk – Go to the user’s plurk page -> click block user

One thing that I am is that I’m a gadget freak.

Maybe I can really live in this world being single, coz gadgets alone can really make me happy and satisfied haahahaha! Weird but I think it’s kinda true considering that being single for more than 6 years is okay for me. I just need to buy gadgets that I want and it can make me smile for months! It’s a non-stop craving though 🙂

I’m on a tight budget, the list below are just wishes… wishes that I hope can come true… 😛

Here is my current gadgets wishlist:

• Apple Time Capsule 2TB

Aside from being a wireless router, this beautiful but expensive gadget can also serve as a wireless backup machine. I’ve been wishing for this since it was first launched a year or two years ago. Made by my favorite manufacturer, Apple.

• Black iPhone 3GS (32 GB)

Yes, I already have the iPhone 1st generation. But I think it is time to upgrade 🙂 Here are some things that 3GS has that 1st gen hasn’t: 3MP camera, compass, video, 2-3 times faster, voice control, Nike+iPod support. Still from Apple 😉

• JBL Ref 610 Over the Ear Wireless Headphone

My ipods (nano, video, iphone) are such a waste right now coz I don’t even have decent earphones. My v-mode vibe failed on me. That’s why I realized that wired-earphones doesn’t work. This particular headphone looks promising, I would want to own one mainly because of the ff.: comes with bluetooth adaptor, good sound quality (accdg. to reviews), comes with 3.5mm jack (if you want to use them without bluetooth), 16 hours battery life. Made by JBL.

• JayBird JB-200i Bluetooth Stereo Headset for iPod

Headphones are only good for indoors, I would need one to use outside especially when I’m jogging. This one caught my eye because it has the ff. features: sweat & water proof, wireless, bluetooth adaptor, switch from music to calls (best for my iPhone). Made by JayBird.

• 24″ Apple iMac

I do have a macbook pro but I also need a desktop and the only desktop that I would want to have is an iMac. Obviously because I adore Apple products and also for the sake of convenience. And having an iMac does have its WOW factor. 😛

I’ve always wondered how I can organize my posts better in my blog as blogger doesn’t have the “read more” feature.

Luckily, there is a solution & lots of tutorials that can be found on the net. I stumbled upon eBlogTemplates.com & followed the steps there.

Here are what I did to make it work:

1. Go to your Blogger Dashboard & Click Layout then edit HTML.
   
2. Tick the “Expand Widget Templates”
   
3. Type Ctrl-F and find this code
4. Insert this before the code
   
    
5. & insert this after the code
   

   It will look like this:

   

6. Save your template 🙂 You’re done with the script.
7. Still at your blogger dashboard. Click Settings then Formatting
   
8. Scroll down & add the code as shown in the “Post Template”

   

9. To see how it works, let’s create a new blog post. Once you complete composing your post, click edit HTML. Put the below your teaser text (the ones you want your readers to see on your front page) and ofcourse put the closing tag after your whole post.

   

This worked for me. But one thing to note is for the blog posts that are already existing in your blog, you will need to add the span tags one by one to edit them as well.

Here are the steps that I took in order to create my FavIcon:

1. Choose a picture or image that you would like to use as your favicon.
2. Go to DynamicDrive.com & click FavIcon Generator.

   

3. Upload your picture & DynamicDrive will automatically create your icon.
4. Save the file to your computer.
5. Go to PicPanda.com & upload your FavIcon (no need to register).

   

6. Remember/Copy the location of your FavIcon in PicPanda.
7. Go to your Blogger dashboard & Click Layout then edit HTML

   

8. Insert this code
   after this line

   

9. Save template and that’s it! You now have your own FavIcon! 🙂

This is definitely essential especially for Smart Mobile users. As soon as the program ended, I left the venue, too bad that I wasn’t able to claim the giveaway (skullcandy headset – & PCD VIP tickets).
