Nach-O-Fast

Nach-O-Fast

——————–
Eastwood mall doesn’t seem to have a lot of choices for Movie snacks.
We haven’t eaten dinner that time and only have 20minutes to get food.
We have chosen Nach-O-Fast… it says “fast” in its name so could be quick right? hehehe.

Their combo meals caught my eye. Me & my friend ordered our combo meal of choice:

  • Combo Meal 1 (Php150)
IMG_2044

My friend ordered this. It is a combination of Nachos, Cheese Flautas, drink & a Roast chicken wrap. I’m not really fond of breads & wraps but the cheese flautas is really tempting.. yummy!

  • Combo Meal 4
IMG_2047

I ordered this. I really love corndogs!!!!!! anything corn and anything hotdogs hahaha! Kidding aside, combo meal 4 is a combination of Nachos, Quesadillas, Drink & Corn Dog. Super yummy! I was able to finish everything before we even went to the theater. hehhe.

At first, I was kinda disappointed that I have to call the store personnel quite a few times before they can attend to us. 2 staff personnel were busy cooking & preparing while the other one is busy sweeping the floor. But later I realized that they are just short-handed, seems like all 3 are all-around peeps… they can either serve food, prepare food, clean the store, act as cashier, etc.

The food is good! I love it! I hope they open more branches near the cinemas like in Powerplant mall, megamall or Ayala cinemas. This is a good alternative to popcorn & other common movie snacks.

Gilbey’s Premium Strength

After we finished watching a movie, we went to Grilla for drinks.  The advertisement for this alcohol drink is really soo eye-catching that we ordered a bucket.

Several minutes after, 2 beautiful ladies approached us and offered to give free taste for that same product (not knowing that we already ordered hehehe).
I don’t drink alcohol, I know this is weird as most people are casual drinkers.  I never really liked the taste of beer, wine or any alcohol for that matter.  the taste is just so weird that until now I can’t figure out why people love to drink it.
Due to a need to bond with friends, I really make a huge effort of trying to endure the bad taste of alcohol… It’s sad that I missed out a lot of bonding moments due to me not drinking alcohol..
I like the taste of this drink, though I really cannot sustain it as I only have extremely low alcohol tolerance (when I drink more than half a bottle, you can already expect me vomitting hehehehehe).
I still can’t even figure out if it’s a Gin drink but I think it is with a touch of green tea extract.  Nice taste, alcohol drinkers will love it.

When it was decided that we’re going to have our dinner at Grams Diner, my friends seem to be so confident and happy that they are going to eat good food. With that, my expectations went up… it didn’t disappoint
I’m very satisfied w/ the food ordered and I’ll surely go back soon.

Here are what we ordered:

  • Philly Cheesesteak (Php245)
IMG_2006

Everyone except me tried a piece of it. I’m just not fond of sandwiches/burgers but based on their feedback, I can say that it’s very good.

  • Mom’s Grilled Pork Chops 1pc (Php135), 2pcs (Php255)
IMG_2004

I didn’t order this but was able to take a bite of it. yummy indeed… porkchops cooked in a nice way.

  • Country Fried Chicken 1pc(Php85), 2pc (Php145)
IMG_2009

This one I ordered.. reminds me of Pancake House’s chicken… I felt the serving is small (including the garlic rice). After I finished everything, I felt that I’m still craving for more.. dont know if it was because I liked the food so much or the serving was really small or I was really extremely hungry hehehe

  • Devilishly Good BBQ Chicken (Php175)
IMG_2007

  • BLT Salad (Php165)
IMG_2000

This one looks really yummy… and my colleague said it tasted good.. I will try this next time..

  • Iced Tea (Php65)

  • Fresh Fruit Shake (Php95)

Aside from the food, this board also caught my attention:

I think guests do write any messages that they want to in the board as remembrance. Looks good…

Overall, a nice dining experience.. a very big factor is I was with several colleagues who are so nice to hang out with combined with good tasting food.

Confessions of a Shopaholic Movie Review

confessions_of_a_shopaholic

Watched this with long-lost friends/colleagues at Powerplant Cinema.  People has been saying that this is a really nice movie so I wanted to watch it to see if it’s really good.

This film is an adoption of a famous novel series, shopaholic written by Sophie Kinsella.  I haven’t read the book so I really cannot compare.  My friends told me that me that it’s very different from the book.  I guess it’s really rare for a movie to be better than the books.  There’s really no perfect adapation, there’s just good adaptation.

Basically, this movie revolves around a girl who’s a shopaholic. She moved to Manhattan to be part of a magazine called Alette but didn’t get the job. She followed the advice of the receptionist to apply to Successful Saving w/c is also a part of the company where Alette magazine is in.  Unfortunately, she initially didn’t get the job as well.  Frustrated, she wrote letters to both Alette Magazine & Successful Savings editors while she was drunk.  She mistakenly exchanged 2 letters.  She ended up being hired to Successful Savings because the editor was very impressed with the article she has written. She was then recognized as “the girl with the green scarf”.  I don’t wanna indulge more details as people who has not watched it might get so pissed off reading my post hehehe.

I can’t really say that it’s an excellent movie.  What I can say is… it is a feel-good movie.  If you had a stressful day and wanna relax then this is the best movie to watch.  It’s funny & light

My Rating for Confessions of a Shopaholic: 3.5 out of 5 stars.
