Logan’s Call
Posted by Rochelle Sy Chua On October 5, 2008
I attended the CCF service today. It has been YEARS since I last went there.
The sermon today is about Grace..
though what really struck me is the story of Logan..
Logan is a 13 y/o boy who lives on a ranch in a small town in Nebraska.
He always listens to Christian Radio station from Houston, Texas.
One day, he called the radio station very sad because he had to take down his beloved calf.
Believe me, after you see and hear this video, you’ll really be touched. I was really struggling to stop myself from crying that time. Logan’s wisdom is superb, I wish I know him.
Here’s the video:

Bubble Tea
——————–
After attending the service at CCF, we went to megamall for shopping.
Then we saw that beautiful tea shop, looks super duper yummy. And because I love tea, I was wishing that we would eventually decide to go there.
God listened to my lil wish and we went there for drinks!
Here are what we ordered:
- Strawberry Milk Tea w/ Egg Pudding (Php 155)
I tasted this & it was sweet. I felt like it’s already a meal in itself. You’ll feel very full as there are a lot going on on that drink. Original price is at Php 140 w/ egg pudding Php 15, totalling to Php 155.
- Wintermelon Black Tea (Php 70)
This one I ordered, I’ve always loved the wintermelon drink at Tasty Dumplings. So seeing this at the bubble tea menu, I couldn’t resist not ordering it.
This one tasted very well but a bit sweet, so I ended up adding more water to it. So I drank about 2 glasses of it hahaha! The tapioca are soooo cute, they’re extremely small and you don’t have to chew it anymore.
- Coffee Milk Tea w/ Egg Pudding (Php 110)
Original Price is at Php95 but since adding egg pudding will add another Php 15 to the bill then it totals to Php110.
I just hope the owners of this place will open a lot more branches since I rarely go to SM megamall. Hope it expands as big as starbucks. Coz I will definitely prefer this over the famous coffee shop any single day! ![]()

Luk Foo Cantonese Kitchen
——————–
I had lunch w/ Alex & Mitch at Luk Foo today. Alex has been raving about how delicious the food are in Luk Foo.
After I took the first bite, I already am positive that their dishes are extremely delicious!
Here are what we ordered:
- Steamed Garlic Fish Fillet w/ Eggplant (Php 260)
Served in a fish metal plate. This is truly a unique & delicious food.
The fish tasted so fresh. I never thought that eggplant & steamed fish go well together!
- Crispy Prawn w/ Salty Egg Yolk (Php 320)
Another unique menu, they used salty egg as the breading of the prawns… and I loved it! Luk Foo is now part of my favorite restaurant list. ![]()
- Broccoli w/ Scallop & Shrimp (Php 480)
Surprisingly, I felt that this is just a normal dish but yet this is the most expensive one. must be the scallops.
One thing that I find intriguing is that all Luk Foo Restaurants are located only in Puregold outlets. I wonder why…
I will definitely go back when I have a chance! Super duper delicious food!!! ![]()

Artina Gallery Cafe
——————–
A Restaurant & a Gallery in one.
The design of the restaurant is superb. You can already feel that it has been planned very thoroughly. The ambiance is very welcoming, the sounds are great & the service is outstanding.

If you appreciate art and love good food then you’ll love to dine here. If you see a painting that you like, you can even purchase it right there & there.
The menu looks yummy as well, it’s a mix of mediterranean & french. And it doesn’t disappoint as well. delicious! ![]()
Here are what we ordered:
- Sauteed Tender Cubes of U.S. Beef in Soy-Roasted Garlic Glaze w/ Risotto (Php 390)
In short, this is salpicao. This was originally served with rice pilaf (php330) but I requested if I could have risotto instead. They said it’s ok but I have to pay extra php60. I said no problem.
The food is delicious! and the meat is tender. They were a lil bit generous of the serving too.
- Crispy Chicken Steak w/ Mushroom Gravy & Rice Pilaf (Php 315)
- Lemongrass Tea (Php 70)
I always loved tea. And this one I love too!
- Coke (Php 50)

It’s just sad that not so many people go to A. Venue Mall. So people really doesn’t know that there’s such a nice restaurant like this there. I went on a friday night but yet we’re the only ones dining there. Hopefully, sales will pick up for them ![]()

Shanghai Hand-Pulled Noodles
592 N.S. Amoranto cor. Banawe, Quezon City, Metro Manila
(02) 732-7061
——————–
While we were on our way home last night, Anna suggested to have dinner at this restaurant.
Since I also need to eat dinner & I don’t have the liberty to eat food rather than something with soup. I said it’s a good idea.
This is already my 2nd time to go to this restaurant but I always feel good whenever I go there. The service is superb!!! Food is delicious and cheap. I do recommend this to everyone if you’re craving for noodles & you are in banawe area.
Here are what we ordered:
- Shanghai Beef Noodles (Php 105)

The serving is really many… the noodles are so many.. the beef are many… I don’t think we have anything to complain about.
The beef is also very tender, the soup is tasty.. I love it! ![]()
- Shanghai Chicken Noodles (Php 95)
I didn’t try it but I saw that you will need to at least remove the bones when eating. I guess that’s why this is a lil cheaper than the beef noodles ![]()
When you order, you can also choose what type of noodles you want (either flat or round)

There’s also onion leaves for you to put in your noodles

You do really miss a lot if you don’t at least try it at Shanghai Hand-Pulled Noodles. It’s a great value for money. You really get what you paid for.
