Roch’s New Hair
Posted by Rochelle Sy Chua On December 18, 2008
I got my hair done last December 1, 2008.
This is in preparation of the new year. I always wanted to have a new look every new year and I decided to have my hair straight ![]()
Here is my new look:
I like it coz I feel younger hahahahaa ![]()
I had it done at Tony & Jackey Salon located at Tomas Morato Branch. The hairstylist who took care of rebonding my hair is Sunny.
I paid php3,000.00 to do the ff.:
- Hair Treatment
- Hair Rebond
- Hair Manicure
- Haircut
I think it’s worth it. I wanted to cut my hair real short but the hairdresser doesn’t want to do it coz she felt that I don’t look good in short hair. I had no choice but to listen. I’m still satisfied with the result ![]()
World of Warcraft Battlechest
Posted by Rochelle Sy Chua On December 10, 2008
These past few days/weeks I’ve been really addicted to playing World of Warcraft (WoW).
I started by playing the free 10-day trial. And since I LOVE the game, I bought this WoW Battlechest so I can finally have my own account and start paying the monthly subscription fee.

I bought this at Datablitz for Php 2,795.00. It’s a lil expensive here in the Philippines but I still think it’s worth it… this game is really the best MPORG available wohoo!
Included in the WoW Battlechest are the ff.:
- Installers (now in DVD!)
- World of Warcraft SKU
- Burning Crusade Expansion Pack
- Strategy guides for WoW & Burning Crusade
- Game Manuals
- WoW guest pass
- Blizzard catalog
I will need time to read the strategy guides but I’m really distracted coz I’d rather use the time to play the game than reading the guides hahaha. Maybe I’ll just read it while I’m out ![]()
With this post, I’m starting a new section in my blog called WorldofWarcraft. Well, obviously because this is my new hobby/passion hehehe. I’ll be posting more soon. Maybe introduce my character first, share some information about her.
To give you some information on my toon:
- Name – Siannah
- Class – Undead Warlock
- Realm – Coilfang
- Guild – Bloodshed Battallion
You can send a whisper if you’re playing at Coilfang, I’d be glad to chat with people while playing ![]()

iPhone 2.2 Software Update
Posted by Rochelle Sy Chua On November 23, 2008
Today, I updated my iPhone software from 2.1 to 2.2. Obviously, I still own the 1st generation iPhone so I unlocked it via QuickPwn.
Here are the steps that I took:
- Update iPhone Software via iTunes
- Restore iPhone and backup previous iPhone settings
- download Quickpwn (take note: im using a mac)
- Use quickpwn to unlock & jailbreak my 2G iPhone

Apple released the update last November 21. Good thing, the iPhone Dev team works really fast that I was already able to download the update today.
Here are the list of updates for the 2.2 software update:
* from Apple Site
- Enhancements to Maps
– Google Street View
– public transit and walking directions
– display address of dropped pins
– share location via email - Enhancements to Mail
– resolved isolated issues with scheduled fetching of email
– improved formatting of wide HTML email - Improved stability and performance of Safari
- Podcasts are now available for download in iTunes application (over Wi-Fi and cellular network)
- Decrease in call set-up failures and call drops
- Improved sound quality of visual voicemail messages
- Pressing the Home button from any Home screen takes you to the first Home screen
- Preference to turn on/off auto-correction in Keyboard Settings
I specifically love the ability to turn on/off auto correction & download podcasts on our iPhones.
How about you? what do you like most on the update?
Pancake House

Pancake House
——————–
I had lunch with a very close friend of mine yesterday. It’s going to be her last day of work the next day, so I asked if we could have lunch.
We went to Pancake House as it is near our offices and the place is much cozier than the fastfood restaurants around Makati/Buendia avenue.
When you enter the restaurant, the 1st thing that you will notice is the posters hanged around the walls of the place. They are movie posters from before to present. I do wonder how they came up with the concept, must be the owner loves watching movies???

One thing I also noticed is the food is getting more expensive each time. The ones we ordered used to be so cheap before but now it’s like 25% more expensive.
Here are what we ordered:
- Classic Pan Chicken – 2 pcs (Php 145)
Aside from KFC, Pancake House’s chicken is also good. Surprisingly! I guess it is because when I eat, it’s newly cooked.
- Sprite (Php 48)
- House Specials Set (Php 205)
This has always been my favorite menu item in this restaurant. The taco is good, the chicken is really good, the garlic bread is good & the spaghetti USED to be good.
I said ‘used to be’ for the spaghetti because when I had this in my plate and I had my first bite, I didn’t dare eat it anymore. I felt the noodle was so tough and it just felt weird that time. Maybe the chef wasn’t in a good mood?
I ended up just eating the chicken, bread & taco.

This menu item is served with an iced tea as well. You can choose to upgrade it to bottomless by adding a certain amount.
If they raise their prices again, I really would think it’s not worth it anymore. But anyhow, still a good place to hang out to.
