Zing Juice – A Waste of Money?

After a long walk around Serendra, we became so thirsty. Stumbled upon Zing Juice which looks like a great place to buy fresh juices.

We ordered the ff.:

Heaven Sent – Kiwi & Strawberry (Tall Php 70, Grande Php 100)
Strawberry Mango Squeeze – Strawberry & Mango (Tall Php 70, Grande Php 100)

We were just trying to buy the tall size but the lady told us that they only have grande size cups left. So we decided to buy the grande instead coz we’re thirsty.

When I tasted mine, I was like “am I drinking water?”. My companion also said the same thing. So we spent Php 200 on a shop that specializes in fresh juices but tasted like water.. urggghhh.

Panties Sale at La Senza

While walking around Serendra, I saw the signs at the entrance of La Senza.. Signs that shows us that there is a big sale on panties & bras.

The “Buy 5 panties at Php 1,495” really caught my eye. It’s like only Php300 each! Why not right? So I went inside and chosen 5 panties for purchase.

I really liked 1 design there, so I decided to just get 5 different colors of it (brown, blue, pink, purple & dark blue).

Another unplanned purchase for me but I believe it was a good buy for me. I might check out the “buy 2 bras at Php 995 soon”. Let’s see 🙂

I’ve been living in this world for x # of years (hehehe!) but honestly, I’ve rarely been to places that has a romantic setting.

Last night, I had the opportunity to experience that. I remember my friends bragging about how sweet their boyfriends were when they brought them to Top of the Citi, mentioning that it was one of the most romantic places they’ve ever been.

I can’t say that it is the most romantic place coz I don’t have any in comparison though I remember going to Lolo Dads once.

Top of the Citi is located at the 34/F of the Citibank Tower in Valero Street.. You can stay in their dining area but if you like something romantic, I would suggest you eat outside instead (at the terrace).

You can enjoy viewing the city from there and ofcourse, enjoy the sweet company of your companion 🙂 They do have mini fountains in the area and they helped set up some candles to make it look romantic… service is superb as well.. and ofcourse the food..

We were served bread while waiting for our order, complete with butter & guacamole 😛

Here are what we ordered:

Crabstick Salad (Php 215)

This came out as a surprise coz we thought that it will just be a simple small dish but turned out to be such a delicious one! I’m not fond of mayonnaise but the serving is just right that it blended so well with the crabstick.

Roast Herbed Chicken Breast (Php 520)

Best for health-conscious people.. Take note: no chicken skin here. Definitely not my order coz I love chicken skin hehehehe 😛

Pan-Fried Cream Dory Fillet with Lemon Star (Php 500)

You have the option to choose from caesar salad, mashed potato, rice for your side dish. You have to choose the Caesar salad, it’s sooo yummy, promise!

There are also a variety of sauces you can choose for your fish – curry, hollandaise, leek & mushroom, tomato herb, honey chili, ginger, berlinoise, chives, mariner, sea urchin butter, lemon butter.

The fish is just okay, not superb like the ones in Fish & Co.

White Chocolate Tiramisu (Php 280)

This is just Tiramisu with white chocolates on top.. 🙂

Sorbet (Php 88)

This reminds me of Manila Peninsula Hotel, they serve the best ice cream sherbet. Now I know that we can also get the same from Le Souffle.

Thanks to someone for taking me there. I enjoyed the food, the place and the company ofcourse 🙂

It’s Alive Movie Review

If you’re filipino, do you remember the movie “Tiyanak”? It’s a 1988 movie starring Janice De Belen w/ the famous line “Anak ni Janice” hehehe 😛

It’s Alive is the American version of “Tiyanak”. It is a story about a couple’s baby that turns out to be a monster who kills when frightened. This is a horror movie in the true sense.

It’s a movie full of blood. When the mother delivered the baby, the baby killed all the hospital staffs, nurses & doctor in the room! The room was full of blood and it was sooooo gross. The series of events after that were all killing sprees. Baby killing psychiatrist, police, his mother’s friends..

The mother was protecting the child at first until the child injured his own dad. The mother took the child inside and burned the house down with both of them still inside. That was how the movie ended. That’s just it… 😛

It’s just a normal scary movie for me, might be best to just watch it on video… but that’s just me.

Threading at David’s Salon

I always have this problem that I do not know how to maintain my eyebrows hehehe. That is why I opted to spend around Php200-250 every month for a salon service for it.

There are lots of ways to maintain our eyebrows:

plucking
threading
shaving
waxing

I’m not fond of shaving, it just makes me uncomfortable. Waxing is not for eyebrows, I might lose all of it hahaha. Plucking is the best but this can only be done if you maintain your own eyebrow. So threading is the only one left and that is the service that I always get when I go to a salon.

I went to David’s Salon yesterday for their threading services (Php220). It will just take less than 15 minutes so should be quick. There are only 2 items that the specialist use = thread & cotton, that’s it!!

My friends usually tell me that this is a painful service, for me though, I have high tolerance to pain so I really don’t mind. I just want to have beautifully shaped eyebrows on my face 😛

This is me after 😛 I do this every month and I don’t think I’ll spend time learning on how to maintain my eyebrows, it’s just not my cup of tea hehehe.
