• how much is the book? – hon wa ikura desu ka?
• It’s expensive – takai desu ne
• It’s cheap – vasui desu ne
• Is there something cheaper? – motto vasui arimasu ka?
• well, I’ll buy the book – dewa, hon wo kaimasu
