Misua and Patola Soup Recipe

More healthy recipes here in HeaRty’s Haven! Misua and Patola Soup is just one of my attempts to eat healthy.  

There was a funny thing that happened when I cooked this Misua and Patola Soup.  I initially used patola without peeling it.  Good thing I checked and apparently, I needed to peel it first before tossing it to the pan, haha!  Good thing I had an extra patola for me to use with the dish.  Else, I might be going back to the supermarket again 😛

Ingredients
  1. 1/4 kilo ground pork
  2. 2 patola
  3. 2 ounces misua
  4. 2 cups water
  5. 1 onion, chopped
  6. 3 cloves garlic, minced
  7. 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  8. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  9. salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. In a pot, heat oil over medium heat.
  2. Add onions then garlic. Cook until fragrant.
  3. Add ground pork and cook until lightly browned.
  4. Add fish sauce and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add water and bring to a boil. Remove any scum that floats on top.
  6. Lower heat and cook for 10 minutes.
  7. Add payola and cook for 5 minutes.
  8. Add misua noodles and cook for 2 minutes.
  9. Season with salt & pepper to taste before serving.
