Recipe: Fresh Lemonade Juice
June 23, 2015

Lemonade is the drink that I served during Housewarming Party # 2 which had a Chinese theme. I remember that whenever I dine at a Chinese restaurant here in Manila, the specialty drink is always fresh lemonade juice. Thus, I decided to serve this refreshing drink to my guests.
No matter how simple fresh lemonade juice may sound like, I was clueless on how many lemons & how much sugar I should use. That’s why I took the liberty of finding a recipe online. Of course, I have to share it with you too, hehe!
I found one from Sprinkled Side Up that is very accurate! The Lemonade turned out yummy just like the ones being served at Chinese restaurants! So happy I was finally able to replicate it! 😀
- [For Syrup]
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cups water
- [For Juice]
- Syrup
- 5 cups water, cold
- 1 cup lemon juice, from 10 small or 5 large lemons (I used large lemons in this recipe)
- 1 lemon, sliced, for serving
- In a saucepan, bring the sugar and 1 cup water to a simmer until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Set aside to cool the syrup.
- Juice the lemons using a juicer.
- Once the syrup has cooled, combine it with the lemon juice and 5 cups of water in a pitcher.
- Stir to mix all ingredients.
- Add the sliced lemon.
- Serve with ice cubes.
