Recipe: Vermicelli with Pork Leg
April 2, 2015

I’ve been trying to clean up my place for several weeks now. I realised that I just have too many things at home and I need to start getting rid of stuff. With the kitchen, the items that need to go immediately are the canned goods.
I want to start eating healthy. So to achieve that goal, I need to stop buying soft drinks and canned foods.
There was one can of pork leg at my kitchen. I searched for a recipe on the internet. So glad that I was able to discover Indochine Kitchen. Not only do they have a recipe for the pork leg, the site even had pictures on how the dish was done!
So today, I cooked up Vermicelli with Pork Leg based on the instructions at the recipe. It turned out great! I didn’t have chili sauce on hand so I had it as it is.
- 350g vermicelli, soaked
- 1 can 397g Chinese Pork Leg with Mushroom
- 1/2 medium carrot, grated
- 1/4 cabbage, shredded
- 1/2 cup bean sprouts, tail removed
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- Soak vermicelli in water for 30 minutes. Set aside.
- Stir fry pork leg with mushroom in a hot pan.
- Cook for 2 minutes over high heat.
- Remove bones from the pork legs.
- Add grated carrots, shredded cabbage & bean sprouts.
- Mix all ingredients and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
- Add vermicelli and soy sauce.
- Mix vermicelli with the rest of the ingredients and stir-fry for 3 minutes.
- Remove from pan and serve.
