Recipe: Pasta or Noodles
April 8, 2013

I’m starting to appreciate pasta more and more. While I’m a rice person, I’m trying to learn to cook more pasta dishes. I searched for recipes online and I found one pretty detailed post about cooking pasta. I still followed the package instructions though but I will refer to the life hacker post if I want to understand it better in the future.
The first pasta dish that I cooked was Pinoy Spaghetti and I really loved the taste. Expect me to cook more dishes using pasta. As for the pasta part, below is the recipe. It’s very easy to prepare, promise!
- 500 grams Spaghetti
- iodized salt
- water
- colander to drain cooked noodles
- Put a good amount of water in a big pot.
- Sprinkle salt into the water.
- Bring water into a boil.
- Add the spaghetti and cook until they are soft (approximately 10-15 minutes).
- Pour the cooked spaghetti into a colander.
- Clean noodles with tap water.
- Drain the noodles until dry.
- Place drained pasta on a plate and serve.

At first, this recipe is included in my Pinoy Spaghetti post. However, I will be cooking more spaghetti dishes in the future. It makes more sense for me to separate it so that I don’t need to repeat the whole cooking pasta steps in every recipe. I will just link this and it would work. Of course, it will be much more efficient that way.

Yay! Glad you’re moving on to yummier dishes, Roch! 😀
