How I Prepared a Simple Corn on the Cob Recipe
March 17, 2013

I LOVE corn! You know what?
The most delicious corn creations are actually the ones made so simply! Since I’m a total newbie at cooking, I’ll start with a very simple recipe that I tried out today. I’ve been researching for a good easy-to-follow recipes on the net. You know even to the detail of how to boil a corn. I found one excellent article online by Food52 and that was what I followed.
- Corn
- Water
- Butter
- Salt
- Fill a large pot with water. Bring to a boil.
- Add corn to the boiling water. Cover the pot.
- Wait for seven minutes or until water gets back up to a boil.
- Take corn off the pot and put into a plate.
- Apply butter and salt into the corn.
- enjoy!

You can put sugar into the water if you want more sweetness in the corn. However, there is already sugar naturally in the corn so it would depend how you want the taste of your corn to be. The whole process took me about 15 minutes. A corn usually costs about Php 12 per piece in the supermarket. If you buy it cooked, it will costs Php 20. If someone like me can cook this dish, I’m pretty sure everyone can do this too! Try it!
